Hello (I know this might seem tacky, but please imagine me saying your name),
I'm sorry that you've been experiencing suicidal ideation and all of the difficulties, hardships, and emotions that go along with it. I've been there. I feel for you.
I want you to know that whether I know you or not, I do care about you. I hand-carve these hearts (you can watch me do it on Instagram and on YouTube) each week specifically to give away to anyone who is experiencing dark thoughts, bad days, or having thoughts of self-harm or suicide. Right now, that's you.
Each rock is unique and imperfect in its own way. My hope is that this heart rock that I made for you will be your physical reminder that you matter, are loved, seen, wanted, and needed, and you are not alone. I want it to remind you that you are a good person, more powerful than you could ever imagine! You make the world a better place by being in it; and all of the good that you do, well, that's pure bonus!
Every time you see and feel your heart rock, I promise you that it will remind you of these beautiful truths.
I will send it to you as soon as I can, with a card of affirmations that I created. The affirmations are my "why". It's why I have made tens of thousands of heart rocks. On the other side of the card is a spot that says, "I want this heart rock to remind you that" and then has space for you to write a message. I invite you to write a message for yourself.
Then, keep your heart rock for as long as you need it, perhaps your whole life.
I invite you to create something beautiful, simple, and meaningful, find someone else who is experiencing suicidal ideation (I promise you will find someone soon that is experiencing something similar to what you are experiencing), and pass on your creation of kindness.
Take heart, my friend. You matter to me.
If you would like, email me, email@example.com and I will also send you a handwritten note of encouragement.
Don't give up. Kindness can help you break the inward spiral of self-doubt and loathing. That is why I make heart rocks. I need to make heart rocks continuously to ward off the dark headspace that I often experience, because I live with bipolar disorder and always will.
I am here for you. Please also consider reaching out to a professional, a counselor, a therapist, or the suicide prevention hotline if necessary. I have, and I'm grateful for the love, comfort and guidance I received.
Chase kindness. Kindness is a circle.
